Looking for a hands-on job this summer? Want to work outside, stay active, and make a difference in your community? Join our team as a Seasonal General Laborer with the City of Marinette. We have several openings within our Public Works, Cemetery and Recreation departments.
What You’ll Do:
>Assist with outdoor maintenance, landscaping, and beautification.
>Help keep parks, streets, cemeteries, and public spaces in top shape.
>Work alongside a great team in a fun, active environment.
>Primary duties: maintain and clean parks or baseball fields by mowing, weed trimming, litter pick up, paint, custodial duties, assisting with grave digging or stone placements. (This is not intended to cover all duties. Other tasks may be assigned based on division working in.)
OPENINGS:
- Cemetery up to 3 vacancies
- Public Works up to 6 vacancies
- Recreation up to 1 vacancy
What We Offer:
>40 hours/week, seasonal work from April/May through August/September.
>Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., weekends as needed.
>Gain valuable hands-on experience.
>Work outdoors all summer long!
Qualifications:
· Hardworking, reliable individuals who enjoy physical work.
· Must possess valid Driver’s License
· Ability to lift 50 lbs. and ability to operate hand/power tools and small equipment.
· Must be 18 years of age to work in Public Works and Recreation department.
· Minimum age of 16 years old to work in Cemetery department.
Pay: $15.00 / hr
Job Type: Seasonal – Limited Term
