Overview
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of City streets, sidewalks, and Right-Of-Ways. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, physical stamina, and a commitment to quality workmanship. In this position you will work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment primarily backhoe, skid steer and loaders
- Assisting with asphalt and concrete installation or removal including sidewalks and roadways.
- Utilize hand tools for digging, cutting, and assembling.
- Transporting materials to and from job sites using dump trucks and heavy equipment.
- Using snowplows for the removal of ice and snow on city streets.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
- Trim tree limbs using chainsaws, pole saws, and bucket truck.
- Chip brush using woodchipper during planned limb pick up or storm debris clean up.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively.
- Skilled in using hand tools for construction and maintenance tasks.
- Preferred Class A CDL License or able to obtain within 6 months
