Job Summary
This is a non-exempt position that reports directly to the Venue Coordinator. This position is responsible for providing reception and hospitality activities for events at Mozingo Event Center. Primary responsibilities include beverage service, customer service, money collection, and cleaning and inspection duties.
Essential Functions
Bar Service Activities
- Prepares garnish trays and stocks portable bar with the necessary alcohol, ice, and supplies to adequately furnish the event. Replenishes supplies at serving stations as needed.
- Brews coffee and tea, and fills containers with requested beverages; resupplies items.
- Prepares beverages, using standard formulas or following directions.
- Serves beverages to customers for events held in the conference center and on the events lawn.
- Prepares bills for beverages, using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines, and accepts payment or makes change.
- Balances receipts and payments in cash registers.
- Works with events coordinator to ensure the accuracy of the beverage inventory sheet for each event. Tracks alcohol sales throughout an event and notifies the event organizer when a limit has been reached.
- Notifies the events coordinator of any facility equipment defects.
- Notifies the events coordinator when additional supplies need to be ordered.
- Follows all applicable state liquor laws regarding the sale of alcohol. Verifies all ID's before serving alcohol. Ensures all guests are safely served and cuts off individuals who appear over-served.
- Keeps an eye on the activities of all guests and notifies security of any potential issues.
- Maintains an awareness of all park and golf course policies, procedures, and practices assuring for thoroughness and accuracy.

Minimum Qualifications
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS :
REQUIRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or equivalent.; one to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 21 years of age or older.
PREFERRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or equivalent; three to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in customer service preferred.

Duties may be in office setting with a controlled environment, however, they are generally performed in both indoors and outdoors. Some driving required as needed within the Park. Duties are generally performed during night and weekend hours, with much flexibility needed for some weekday, and holiday work required as needed.
