About This Opportunity:
Performs complex technical work supporting operational workflows, maintaining documentation, and providing reporting solutions for the City. Responsibilities include developing reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), providing guidance on operational tools like Microsoft SharePoint and Excel, assisting with workflow improvements, and delivering user training.
Essential Functions:

- Develops and maintains SQL-based reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for Munis and other City systems, addressing departmental and organizational reporting needs.
- Provides technical support for operational workflows, assisting departments in optimizing processes and addressing technical questions.
- Guides departments in effectively using tools like Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel to improve productivity and storage management.
- Creates and maintains detailed documentation for workflows, processes, and reporting tools, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Provides user training on operational systems, reporting tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and system adoption.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to operational tools and reporting systems, collaborating with departments to meet specific needs.
- Coordinates with vendors and external resources to manage updates and enhancements to systems and reporting tools.
- Establishes and maintains positive and collaborative working relationships with team members, users, and external partners.
- Serves as a backup administrator for the Munis system, assisting with Munis helpdesk tickets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with Tyler Technologies applications (e.g., Munis) and Jira, with a strong focus on helpdesk ticket management, issue tracking, and asset inventory management.
- Proficient troubleshooting and technical support skills, with a focus on Tier 1 issue resolution and remote assistance.
- Knowledge of IT security protocols and compliance standards
- Strong organizational skills, including documentation creation, process improvement, and record-keeping for inventory and support tickets.
- Excellent communication skills, with a professional and supportive approach to end-user support and training.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the IT department, build positive relationships with team members and users, and coordinate effectively with vendors.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s/Technical degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in an IT support role preferred.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and exposure to Munis or similar systems is beneficial but not required.
Special Requirement:
Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of Tennessee.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent sitting, speaking, hearing, and using hands for detailed work are required. Occasional standing, walking, and reaching may be needed, along with the ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
