What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mall Maintenance Worker position at City of Mason City?
- Daily inspection of Mall interior and grounds for litter removal and cleaning needs. May open and close the building as necessary. May set up and take down tables, chairs and other equipment for special events.
- Performs routine cleaning and custodial care of the Mall, including daily cleaning of bathrooms, trash removal, cleaning of floors, and a variety of other areas not under lease throughout the facility.
- Responsible for routine building repairs when possible, and identifying potentially dangerous building issues .
- Performs snow removal and sanding of entrances, walks as necessary.
- Inventory and communicate to the Mall Manager the need to order supplies and equipment needed, and keep materials and equipment maintained and in working order.
- Assisting during emergencies, ensuring minimal injury to people and damage to property.
- Graduation from high school or GED from an accredited institution of higher learning OR Equivalent education and experience.
- Previous cleaning and building maintenance experience is desired.
