The City of Mason City is accepting applications for a full-time Mall Manager. This position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and successful operation of both the mall and mall office, completing a variety of day-to-day office and administrative tasks and supporting other business activities.

- Responsible for running the mall office, greet and assist visitors, and manage public interactions whether in person, by phone or email. Resolves customer complaints or issues.
- Responsible for oversight of the cleanliness, routine maintenance, and basic security of the Mall, through supervision and use of assigned staff.
- Directs, supervises, evaluates, trains, and recommends discipline assigned staff.
- Provides leadership on tenant issues, including preparation of leases, providing leasing recommendations to the City Administrator, and resolution of tenant concerns.
- Monitor mall expenditures, handles administrative processing of mall tenant contracts (rent, service etc.). Perform basic bookkeeping activities. Maintain files and records with effective filing system.
- Coordinates mall events, promotional activities and seasonal decor, often in partnership with local community resources. Markets mall activities through online media sources, social media and printed materials.
- Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders. Assist in vendor relationship management.
- Support other staff and management with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.). May assist the City Administrator on special projects related to the Mall.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or GED from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Three (3) years of experience working in an office environment.
- Associates Degree or 60 hours of college level coursework from a recognized accredited institution with specialized course work in general office practices is not required, but would be helpful.
- Equivalent education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
