As a lifeguard at the Mason City Aquatic Center, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all pool patrons. What You’ll Do:
- Oversee swimmers and all users of the pool, ensuring everyone’s safety.
- Enforce pool rules and maintain a safe, friendly atmosphere.
- Lead or assist with pool activities, making sure they run smoothly.
- Stay on duty until the pool is cleared and safely closed.
- Assist with swimming lessons and help participants improve their skills.
- Report accidents, concerns, or issues to the head guard.
The Perks:
- Pay: $11.00/hr and up, based on experience.
- Flexible Hours: 10-40 hours per week, weather dependent.
- Seasonal: Work from May through August.
Requirements:
- Must be 15 years or older.
- Must be able to stay alert and focused while on duty.
