Building Inspector

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Building Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, quality control measures, and the ability to analyze blueprints and schematics effectively.

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial buildings at various stages of construction to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Review and analyze blueprints, schematics, and construction contracts to verify adherence to design specifications.
• Identify any deficiencies or violations during inspections and provide detailed reports outlining necessary corrective actions.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and construction management teams to address quality control issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections performed, including photographs and documentation of findings.
• Stay updated on changes in building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices to enhance inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in quality inspection or construction inspection is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Knowledge of quality control processes related to building construction.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with contractors and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications or licenses in building inspection are a plus but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.44 - $32.00 per hour
