GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The essential function of the position within the organization is to serve the public by providing emergency and non-emergency communications.
PRIMARY DUTIES: This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.
Answer, dispatch and respond to all emergency and non-emergency calls.
Record computer data entry of all calls. Obtain detailed and complete information regarding any reported situation. Forward all pertinent information to First Responders.
Receive and relay messages for all personnel: Receive calls for other agencies and relay by radio if necessary.
Obtain vehicle registration and drivers license information and obtain criminal history records.
Assist with prisoner booking procedures and perform hourly jail checks when necessary.
Maintain records for animal control, wrecker impound logs, NCIC entries, repossessed vehicles, utility calls, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
