What are the responsibilities and job description for the Traffic Operations-Video Systems Maintenance Technician position at City of McAllen, TX?
Under the general direction of the Traffic Operations department, the Video Systems Maintenance Technician performs progressively responsible work for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing video and camera surveillance equipment and related devices. Employee assists in making recommendations for alternate solutions in hardware and camera applications which requires daily decision making on a variety of items from simple to difficult requiring mature judgment. Employee works closely with MIS Manager for all video surveillance software and hardware needs. This position requires sufficient knowledge of video surveillance equipment operations and/or maintenance, inter-departmental operations and report preparation. Employee is responsible for recurring reports and /or records that may be complex and technical in nature.
