What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Administration - Safety Coordinator position at City of McAllen?
Under general supervision and procedural control, the Public Works Safety Coordinator assists in administering the Departments safety awareness program, risk assessment & prevention programs, liability and subrogation claims in conjunction with the City's Risk Management Department. Employee assists with planning, developing and coordinating safety programs including safety meetings and safety prevention. Employee assists the City's Risk Manager in processing property damage claims and subrogation claims. Employee reviews, evaluates, investigates and gathers injury and accident reports and statistics. Employee is responsible for the department vehicle accident, property damage, personal claims, Tier II reporting, and Hazardous chemicals risk management programs for Public Works Operations. Employee is responsible for developing and administering in-house training programs for daily operations of systems. Employee will oversee Public Works field related certification programs.
