What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Gate Attendant - Gilley Pool position at City of McMinnville?
The role of the Front Gate Attendant is to provide a welcoming first interaction to customers of McMinnville's largest attraction, the Gilley Pool.
As a Front Gate Attendant, you will be working in the pool office taking payment and ensuring that customers are following pool rules and guidelines before they enter the pool deck.
Pay is an hourly rate of $10/hour for part time work at 20-30 hours per week. Employees will get to utilize parks and recreation facilities including the Milner Recreation Center and the Gilley Pool free of charge, not during scheduled working hours.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Tennessee's operator's license.
- Lift and move 25 pounds safely and properly.
- Experience in handling cash and credit/debit card transactions preferred, but not required.
The Front Gate Attendant has several essential duties that are necessary for the success of the Gilley Pool. They are as follows, but are not limited to:
- Sell pool admissions and other merchandise sold at the pool gate.
- Inventory office supplies and maintains all procedures and forms necessary for pool staff.
- Prepares daily cash reports and secures all the money at the end of the business day.
- Answers the telephone and makes public address announcements.
- Keep the office area clean and free of clutter.
- Manage office equipment: computer, cash register, Point of Sale system, telephone, and public address system.
