This position is responsible for providing recreation programs through direct interaction with patrons which can include officiating games, leading activities, and providing customer service. Assisting with clinics, special events, facility maintenance and other program activities.The season will run May 31st - July 19. Hours are Mon-Fri 5:45-8:15pm and Saturdays 8:45am-6 pm.This is a piece rate position at $40/game. Employees will be hired as A11 Sports Officials. This position will remain open until filled.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Lead Recreation ProgramFacilitate game playKnow and apply rules and proceduresProvide instructionCustomer ServiceProvide customer service to patronsHelp the public discover new interests by introducing them to art, music, sports, and other potential hobbies.Deal with conflict resolution and inappropriate behaviorMaintain safety by monitoring children and adults for health, behavioral, and emotional concerns and report concerns to Recreation SupervisorActivity ManagementWork with Program Assistant on problem solving Prep activity area including setup and cleanupGENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other agencies, and the public.Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification. Participate in committees when requested.Maintain proficiency in job requirements which may include attending training and meetings, reading materials, and meeting with others in areas of responsibility, which may require travel.Maintain work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and comply with all related city, state, and federal standards related to confidentiality.
