The Office of Outreach & Prevention (OOP) is seeking a motivated and community-minded individual (ages 18-24) to serve as a Peer Data Collection Specialist. Responsibilities
- Disseminate surveys (both digital and paper) to young adults in the community to gather data on gambling trends.
- Assist in recruiting and facilitating focus groups to better understand young adult gambling behaviors and trends.
- Collaborate with the Office of Outreach & Prevention team and the OPO Evaluator to ensure effective data collection and analysis.
- Maintain accurate records of data collection efforts and ensure confidentiality and integrity of collected information.
- Engage with peers in a professional and approachable manner to encourage participation in the study.
Minimum Entrance Requirement:
- Must be between 18-24 years old.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting with peers and engaging in outreach efforts.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage data collection responsibly.
- Interest in public health, research, or community work.
- Ability to speak another language.
