We're hiring 14 part-time Seasonal Engineering Technicians to collect real-time traffic data that supports safer, smarter transportation planning. You'll be out in the field-rain or shine-tracking turning movements at key intersections and using digital tally equipment (training provided). Shift assignments will be determined based on operational needs during the hiring process.
The anticipated hiring range for the Traffic Data Collector position is $16.79 (first step) or $17.62 (second step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, and qualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Three steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.Â

Required Education And Experience
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Work with minimum supervision.
- Follow oral, written and drawn instructions.
