Do you like working outdoors in the fresh air? Do you enjoy the City parks and want to earn extra money to keep them clean and welcoming? Join the City of Medford's Park Maintenance team! We're looking for dedicated team members to join us as full-time, seasonal Parks Laborers for a 6-month term. In this role you'll help keep our parks and facilities clean, well-kept, and enjoyable for the community.Examples of What You'll Do: Maintain park grounds by mowing, edging, and trimmingRemove trash and litter from parks, right-of-ways, and facilitiesOpen, close, and restock restroomsAssist with special projects and eventsApply today and be part of the team that keeps Medford’s parks looking their best! Required Education and Experience: Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; andMust be 18 years of age or older by date of hire.Additional Eligibility Requirements: Working knowledge of basic building operation, repairs, equipment used and cleaning buildings.Basic knowledge of the practices and techniques of landscape maintenance, tree care, and basic landscape construction techniques.Knowledge of safety practices and procedures for this line of work.Must be honest and truthful in all tasks and responsibilities. Possession of valid driver's license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver's license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.Available Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
