CITY OF MENTOR Natural Resource Assistant Temporary / Seasonal The City of Mentor is seeking individuals to work with the Natural Resource Specialists through August (or completion of 840 hours) assisting with varied duties, including migratory bird banding, nuisance Canadian goose control, invasive plant control, habitat restoration and monitoring, recreational programming, and planning, along with general natural resource management tasks. This position is available for immediate start dates and will remain open until the positions are filled. Must be able to work a varied schedule comprised of outdoor activities in all weather conditions. Currently enrolled college students or graduates of wildlife management, natural resources, ecology, biology or a related field is preferred. Must be able to lift and carry at least 40 lbs. and be comfortable operating a chainsaw and hand tools. Must have a valid drivers license. Experience using Microsoft Office and Google Drive is a plus. Rate of pay : $15.00 / hr. Position will remain open until filled.
