Description
The City of Merriam Public Works Department is seeking a seasonal Landscape Technician. The qualified applicant will be responsible for supporting the City's mission by helping to present well-maintained and landscaped public grounds. This seasonal position runs from approximately April 1 to October 31 (Overtime Eligible).
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to : weeding, tree and bush trimming and pruning, operation of City-owned vehicles and landscaping power / motorized equipment, rental pavilion set-up / clean-up, and general upkeep of the City's landscaped beds in a variety of weather conditions. Will perform other related duties as necessary and assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age;
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions during spring / summer;
- Working knowledge of various power tools and basic landscaping tools;
- Must have valid State Driver's license and acceptable driving record.
