WORK SCHEDULE
To observe all patrons of Mesquite swimming pools and ensure their safety while using the pool; to administer CPR and First Aid as needed; and to perform cleaning or maintenance work on the pool and in the pool area.

SUPERVISION
General Supervision is provided by the Swimming Pool Supervisor or Head Lifeguard.
- All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Observe pool patrons and ensure that pool rules and safety practices are followed
- Provide CPR, AED or first aid as required.
- Clean pool tiles, decks, drain covers, gutters, and bathrooms, vacuum the pool and perform other pool maintenance duties.
- Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
EXPERIENCE
- None required.
- Must be a minimum of 16 years of age at time of hire.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
- Possession of an appropriate Lifeguard Training Certificate from the American Red Cross.
- Possession of an appropriate valid CPR Certificate from the American Red Cross.
- Possession of an appropriate valid First Aid Certification from the American Red Cross.
- Possession of an appropriate valid Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Certification from the American Red Cross.
WORK SCHEDULE
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule 15-25 hours per week, Sunday - Saturday
