Under the supervision of a Sergeant, the Patrol Officer performs a wide variety of diverse professional police work in the preservation of law and order, protection of life and property, prevention of crime, and arrest and prosecution of criminals through the enforcement of laws and ordinances. A Patrol Officer for the City of Midland is expected at all times to diligently follow the Police Department’s core values of Integrity, Professionalism and Service to Community.
Required Education/Experience/Knowledge
Graduation from high school required with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice preferred. Prior law enforcement experience preferred. MUST BE CURRENTLY LICENSED, OR LICENSABLE UPON APPOINTMENT, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STANDARDS SET BY THE MICHIGAN COMMISSION ON LAW ENFORCEMENT STANDARDS ACT (MCOLES)
