What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Golf Professional position at City of Midland?
Assists the Golf Pro in golf instruction and in overseeing other staff members in the operations at Hogan Park Golf Course.
Employee communicates with other employees in the work group and the general public.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
Must have thorough knowledge of golf, experience in teaching, merchandising, public relations and golf tournament operations.
Minimum Education, Experience and Certification
Preferred PGA Associate or Class A Membership. Valid Texas driver’s license required.
- Responsible for insuring proper set up for tournaments.
- Responsible for scheduling staff and shop employees.
- Performs golf instruction, both individual and group.
- Assists in merchandising and inventory for the pro shop.
- Oversees cashiers, starters, cart and range personnel.
- Provides quality, friendly customer service.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
