Responsible for providing administrative support to the City Manager's Office. Assists City Manager's staff with various assignments and special projects.
- Answers the phone, takes messages, greet visitors, and directs same to appropriate staff.
- Primarily assists respective Managers with day-to-day tasks, maintains calendar, travel arrangements and special projects.
- Maintains filing system for the department.
- Responsible for setting up meeting rooms.
- Makes copies of documents, letters, etc.
- Processes, picks up and distributes mail for the department.
- Assists Mayor and Council with various assignments and special projects.
- Assists various department/division staff with assignments and special projects.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Must have the ability to effectively communicate with the general public and employees. Must possess both good telephone and public relations skills. Must be able to multi-task.

- Skill in the use of personal computer, fax and other various office machines is required. Must be proficient with Word and Excel software. Requires a minimum of 35 words per minute on typing test. Must successfully complete a spelling and grammar test with minimum score of 50 on each test.
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of one year of experience in a receptionist or clerical position required. Bilingual is a plus. A valid Texas Driver's License is required.
