What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Plumber - Parks & Rec position at City of Midland?
Performs all routine plumbing work for the Parks and Recreation Department.· Troubleshoots all department plumbing facilities such as bathrooms, hot water heaters, showers.
· Installs and/or inspects all plumbing related to new construction.· Oversees all plumbing aspects of Parks and Recreation Department.
· Maintains or repairs all plumbing systems.
· Builds meter loops in parks.
· Works on plumbing at all pools and splash pads.
· Performs other tasks related to parks maintenance as directed by the Parks Division Superintendent.Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills·
Ability to read and understand work orders and equipment manuals. Skill in the operation of hand tools and plumbing equipment.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification· High school diploma or equivalent plus five to seven years of experience as a plumber. Journeyman's License as a plumber required. Valid Texas Driver's License required.
