Assists in the operation of the Water Reclamation Facility.
Required Qualifications
Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors on plant condition and receive work orders or instructions for any project.
Ability to read and comprehend operator's manuals, gauges, and work orders. Ability to have attention-to-detail when collecting samples for analysis. Skilled in writing legibly to record results. 12-hr shift work required.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have valid Texas Driver's License. Wastewater Class C license from TCEQ is required.
DAYS & HOURS:
Rotating Shift; Rotating Days Off
12 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 12 p.m. – 12 a.m.
- Collects samples for testing and analysis in primary and secondary treatment areas.
- Delegates to subordinates to prioritize duties in the treatment plant
- Operates and maintains treatment equipment and observes the operation of related plant equipment.
- Reads gauges, records information and reports problems to the Chief Operator, or Superintendent.
- Performs janitorial and grounds keeping duties in assigned areas.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with varying difficulty levels
- Performs related duties as assigned.
