The department may fill positions at the CADD and GISTechnician 1 or 2 level, base upon candidate qualifications and the nature ofthe assignment.

Purpose
The CADD and GIS Technician drafts construction plansand updates records related to sewer, green infrastructure, and floodmitigation projects using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) andGeographic Information Systems (GIS) software.
Essential Functions
ENGINEERING DRAFTING
- Use MicroStation and GIS software to produce technical drawings for the City and State sewer, green infrastructure, and flood mitigation projects.
- Compute mathematical calculations such as distance, area, angle, and dimension.
GIS DATA MANAGEMENT

Current Salary
CADD and GIS Technician 1
The current salary range (3PN) is $57,730-$77,225 annually,and the resident incentive salary for City of Milwaukee residents is $59,462-$79,542 annually. Appointment above the minimum is possible based upon level ofexperience and other qualifications and is subject to approval.
CADD and GIS Technician 2
The current salary range (3QN) is $60,616-$83,403 annually,and the resident incentive salary for City of Milwaukee residents is $62,435-$85,905 annually. Appointment above the minimum is possible based upon level ofexperience and other qualifications and is subject to approval.
