What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Security Specialist II position at City of Minneapolis?
Work Location: This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.
Salary Range:
Anticipated starting salary range $34.62-$42.07 Hourly, dependent upon qualifications.

- Review monitoring systems and escalate anomalies / suspicious events for further action.
- Assist in incident response, gather evidence for investigation, perform recovery tasks.
- Obtain and prepare data for security audits and configuration reviews.
- Run vulnerability scans, prepare results for review, track remediation progress.
- Assist in security requirements elicitation and solutions for IT projects.
- Assist in managing ticket load and issues.
- Perform routine security-system configuration and health-check reviews.
- Assist in maintaining Security documentation libraries.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma plus 18 months of Post High School Work in general computer literacy
Equivalency:
Various combinations of training and experience can qualify for this position
Minimum Experience:
Three years of experience in information security

Eligible List Statement: The names of applicants who meet minimum qualification and who pass the screening process shall be placed on the eligible list for employment consideration.
