Job Description
Officiate basketball games for the adult basketball league. Games are scheduled on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Royals Athletic Center and Hopkins West Middle School. Games are played in the Summer starting June 4th - August 6th and the fall and winter from October - February.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Officiate adult basketball games
- Provide quality customer service before, during and after league games
- Maintain control of the game and surroundings (participants, fans, etc.)
- Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
- Work with team of two officials and one scorekeeper
Qualifications
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Previous basketball officiating experience at the high school level or higher
- Knowledge of basketball rules and/or playing experience
- A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Experience as a basketball official
- Knowledge of the game and rules through playing experience and officiating experience
