Job Description
This position provides site monitoring at the city's yard waste drop-off site at the public works facility. This person provides information, site assistance, verifies residency of users and enforces operational rules of the site.
The brush drop is open three day a week: Monday and Tuesday 11:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. The facility is open seasonally – usually April through November. Roughly 15-17 hours every two weeks.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Opens and closes site
- Verifies user addresses for site access
- Provides information and site directions
- Enforces program and site rules
- Maintains a daily tally of vehicles
- Accounts for time worked on time card
- Requests assistance for equipment when necessary
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- One year of customer service experience
- One year of public works experience
- One year of municipal experience
- One year of tree or horticulture experience
