Job Description
The Minnetonka Police Department is seeking applications for one Intensive Comprehensive Peace Officer Education and Training Program candidate. The ICPOET program allows non-traditional or career transition candidates to serve their communities in a new way, as a law enforcement officer. The Minnetonka Police Department will pay the tuition for the candidates to attend law enforcement training at Hennepin Technical College (spring of 2025) and will also pay the candidates an hourly rate (approximately $25.00 / hour) while they attend the training. The successful candidates must have a regionally accredited two- or four-year degree in any field of study but they do not need prior law enforcement education, training, or experience. The candidates must pass a thorough background investigation, medical, and psychological exam.
