Job Description
The summer park attendant ensures that facilities and restrooms are clean and available to the public. The position monitors and enforces city and park rules and provides assistance to general park users and those reserving picnic shelters. The summer season is May 24 to September 1, 7 days a week, between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. Hopkins park locations are Valley, Oakes, Cottageville and Burnes; Minnetonka park locations are Gro-Tonka and Lone Lake.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance to parks including cleaning of restrooms, picnic tables, trash removal and care of surrounding area
- Provide assistance and customer service to park patrons and those with picnic reservations
- Transport supplies and needed services from one location to another, as needed
- Open and close park facilities at scheduled times
- Act as a positive representative for Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services
Qualifications
- Age 16 or older
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow all policies and procedures
- Ability to work with and serve a diverse population
- A commitment to and belief in the organization's shared values
