Aqua Fit - The Marsh

By being a part of our program, you will be able to develop highly sought after professional skills. Aquatic Fit instructors are under the direction of the Fitness Coordinator.

Looking for instructors to instruct the 11 am M/W Water Fit at the Marsh Fitness Center.
 This is a Part-Time position (1 - 6 hours/week). 

• Responsible for proper use of and general condition of The Marsh's Aqua exercise props, audio equipment and provide for it's safe and efficient operations.
• Educate participants on proper swim techniques, promote swimmer safety, and teach new skills.
• Adapt teaching approaches to age, experience, and ability of participants to meet level objectives.
• Instruct swimming lessons in accordance with department guidelines, prepare lesson plans accordingly, maintain reports, and support members and program
• Assist participants in achieving their goals.
• Demonstrate professionalism in all forms of communications, such as in-person and emails.
• Ability to be punctual, organized, approachable, and energetic.
• Completes required forms relating to injuries, complaints, requests etc. occurring during class. 

• Ability to swim and knows all four competitive swim strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly).
• Current Aqua Fitness Certification required. Certification must be from a nationally accredited organization (AFAA, ACE, ASFA, AEA).
• CRP Certification (ARC or AHA).
• Attend required staff meetings and training.  
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies, communicating quickly and effectively while providing emergency response.
• Strong customer service background.

Salary : $25 - $30
