The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Mechanic in the Public Works Department, with an application deadline of Monday, January 27th 2025. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants.

Nature of Work

This is journeyman level maintenance and repair work of vehicles and equipment. Please see the attached job description for complete details.

Education, Experience, Other Requirements

Must have a CDL or be able to obtain one within one year of employment.

Education requirements consist of graduation from high school and / or vocational school and four years of progressively responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of gasoline and diesel vehicles and equipment.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The assigned salary range for the position of Mechanic under the 2025 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 54, which is $23.13 per hour- $34.34 per hour or $48,118- $71,432 annually.

This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
