The City of Minot is accepting applications for the position of Light Mechanic in the Public Works Department, with an application deadline of Thursday, February 27th 2025. This position is open to all qualified internal and external applicants. 

 Nature of Work

This is manual and mechanical work servicing automotive vehicles and other equipment and in performing minor repairs. Work is performed under the continuing supervision of the Bus Services/Shop Maintenance Foreman. Please see the attached job description for complete details.

 Education, Experience, Other Requirements

• Completion of high school and some experience in the servicing of automobiles or other equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. 
• Possession of a valid North Dakota commercial driver's license and proper endorsements (Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement).

 Compensation and Benefits

• The assigned salary range for the position of Mechanic under the 2025 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 46, which is $18.99 per hour- $28.19 per hour or $39,493- $58,627 annually. 
• This is a full time, FLSA Non-Exempt position eligible for overtime.
