What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Riverwalk Night Maintenance position at City of Mishawaka?
DEPARTMENT: CSD / Parks Department
SALARY: $14.00 per hour
HOURS: 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm Thursday thru Monday
DEFINITION
The Riverwalk Night Maintenance is responsible for maintaining the Riverwalk, Central Park, Battell Park and any other Park connected to the City of Mishawaka Riverwalk. Cleaning bathrooms, cleaning tables and policing the Riverwalk area for trash. Also, to report any issues to the Mishawaka Police Department or to Management.

Central Service Department and Mishawaka Riverwalk Area’s
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, All weekends
2. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
All of the work is performed outside in all weather conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Removing All Trash from receptacles
2. Cleaning of all Bathrooms on Riverwalk
3. Policing litter on the ground
4. Insuring pavilions are clean for events
5. Ability to work with the public and co-workers
6. Ability to work unsupervised
7. Work boots and Long Pants are required
8. Communicate any criminal activity with the Mishawaka Police Department
9. Clean up all Pavilions on Riverwalk throughout the night.
10. Assist with Event setup and Tear downs if needed
11. Report any safety issues or complaints to Management
ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
Any jobs assigned by management
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
1. Must be able to work all Weekends
2. Must be able to work at Night
3. Must have good self-control while dealing with public and youths
4. Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend and lift up to 50 pounds
5. Must be able to work with the public in respectful manner
6. Self-Motivated to perform tasks unsupervised on weekends
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have a valid drivers’ license
2. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
3. 18 years old is preferred.
