What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Writer position at City of Missouri City?
Funding for this position is reliant on the City’s ability to secure grant funding. After year one, continuation of the position is dependent on the City’s ability to secure ongoing funding.
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field and three (3) years of related grant writing experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or similar credential preferred. Experience with federal and state grant proposals, including FEMA or similar agency grants.
This is a full-time position in the Office of Budget & Performance. This individual will work closely with department directors and the City Manager’s Office to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals that align with the City’s vision. This individual will focus on researching, identifying, writing, and submitting high quality grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies. Reporting relationship: Chief Budget & Performance Officer. |
