What are the responsibilities and job description for the Park Technician position at City of Missouri City?
This is a full-time (Laborers and Helpers) position in the Parks and Recreation Department. An individual in this position will maintain landscaping and hardscaping in City parks, facilities, and rights-of-way. Reports to Park Crew Leader
- Mow and trim areas; remove litter; conduct visual inspections of park areas; report problems or safety concerns; maintain city provided equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on facilities, equipment and fences; prepare athletic fields.
- Perform landscape duties such as planting, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, weeding and watering trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Assist with construction projects and special events as needed.
- Work on emergency operations during natural disasters.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Subject to 24-hour recall.
High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate and one (1) year of grounds maintenance or construction experience required. A Class C driver’s license or the ability to obtain within six months is preferred.
The Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may consider an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.Salary : $34,409 - $43,013
