What are the responsibilities and job description for the Right of Way Crew leader position at City of Missouri City?
This is a full-time, Non-Exempt position for the Urban Forestry Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. An individual in this position will be responsible for implementing day-to-day right of way maintenance and beautification.
Reporting Relationship: City Forester
- Operate and conduct routine maintenance of forestry and landscaping equipment; including but not limited to: chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, stump grinders, augers, chippers, aerial lifts, spray and water tankers, tree spades, tractors, excavators, and City vehicles.
- Maintain and monitor City-owned right of ways, landscape areas, and urban forest areas; including but not limited to: clearing obstacles and debris, weed and pest control, planting, pruning, mulching, pressure washing, painting, and irrigation system repairs.
- Provide field supervision of the Right of Way Crew; Train, assign, evaluate and discipline a crew of Technicians.
- Assist with special projects, programs and events as needed.
- Ability and wiliness to work flexible work hours, including nights and weekends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Subject to 24-hour recall, including weather related incidents and emergency operations.

Salary : $44,425 - $55,532
