What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Right of Way Technician position at City of Missouri City?
This is a full-time, Non-Exempt position for the Urban Forestry Division of the Parks and Recreation Department. An individual in this position will be responsible for day-to-day right of way maintenance and beautification.

- Operate and conduct routine maintenance of forestry and landscaping equipment; including but not limited to: chainsaws, weed trimmers, blowers, stump grinders, augers, chippers, aerial lifts, spray and water tankers, tree spades, tractors, excavators, and City vehicles.
- Maintain and monitor City-owned right of ways, landscape areas, and urban forest areas; including but not limited to: clearing obstacles and debris, weed and pest control, planting, pruning, mulching, pressure washing, painting, and irrigation system repairs.
- Assist with special projects, programs and events as needed.
- Ability and wiliness to work flexible work hours, including nights and weekends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Subject to 24-hour recall, including weather related incidents and emergency operations.
- Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License; high school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least three (3) years of professional experience in landscaping, maintenance, arboriculture, or construction.
- Must possess at least one of the following certifications: ISA Certified Arborist, TDA Licensed Pesticide Applicator, TCEP Certified Landscape Technician or Irrigator, TNLA Landscape Associate or Professional, NRAP Certified Parks & Recreation Professional.
- Must demonstrate proficiency and have training certificates for at least two of the following types of equipment: tractor, excavator, skid steer, brush chipper, stump grinder, arial lift, dump truck.
