QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES
No experience needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
- 16 years of age or older
- A completed work permit, if candidate is under 18 years of age (at time of hire)
- American Red Cross Standard First Aid (at time of hire)
- American Red Cross Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation for the Professional Rescuer (at time of hire)
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training (at time of hire)
If you are not currently working towards the certifications listed above, the City will be offering a certification course from March 31, 2025, through April 4, 2025. TESTING PROCESS
Candidates whose qualifications most closely meet the needs of the City will be invited to participate in a Swim Assessment and Oral Board Interviews. Candidates must pass both the Swim Assessment and Oral Board Interviews to be considered for the position. The Swim Assessment will consist of the below components :
