The Harbormaster is a full-time management level position that oversees all operations in the Marina/Harbor Division of the Public Works Department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Marina and Harbor operations with a proven track record of maintaining a safe, secure, and professional waterfront. The Harbormaster will interact with members of the public, business community, Monterey City Council, Boards and Commissions members, and fellow City of Monterey staff. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
