Nature of Work
Thefundamental reason this position exists is to perform food preparation andservice related tasks. The food serviceenvironments include areas such as concessions, fast food, special events, andcatering events. The work responsibilities of this classification are : performsinventory and cashier duties; cooks and serves food items and / or meals; cleansand maintains the kitchen and dining area; and contributes to departmentobjectives. The Food Services Worker Iis supervised by the Food Services Worker II and the Food Services Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
Six months offood preparation experience (other than salad bar preparation) that includesmaking money transactions. NOTE : Qualifying education, training and experiencethat provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the jobwill be considered.
Special Requirements
Mustbe willing to submit to criminal background check. Work will include nights,weekends and holidays. Must have andmaintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License and insurable driving record asneeded to operate City owned vehicles to transport food items andsupplies. AGE REQUIREMENT : Mustbe at least 21 years of age and able to serve alcoholic beverages.
Kind of Examination
