SummaryUnder general supervision from an Emergency Communications Supervisor, the Regional Data Specialist 1 (RDS-1) performs a wide variety of general and technical clerical duties including transcription, maintenance of records and files, processing of statistical data and reports, and providing information to the public on behalf of WestCO and contracted law enforcement agencies. The RDS-1 is responsible for the retrieval, quality control, redaction, and release of records (including reports, text, audio files, video files, and digital content) in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and WestCO’s policies and procedures. Physical and Environmental ConditionsEnvironmental Conditions: Work is performed in a secure emergency communications center, and contracted law enforcement agencies. Electronic hardware and/or software are provided; The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Reasonable accommodation in the work environment may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their primary duties. The work level can fluctuate from minimal to fast-paced and high volume. The RDS-1 must balance priorities from multiple sources while meeting statutory deadlines. Physical Conditions: Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
