Physical Demands: Requires ability to perform heavy manual labor. Strenuous physical work requiring ability to lift fifty pounds frequently and one hundred pounds occasionally; frequent lifting, carrying, walking and standing, hand/eye coordination. Occasional hand/eye coordination for operation of equipment; vision for reading and preparing written reports and documents; frequent speech communication, hearing and listening to maintain communications with employees and citizens.
Work Environment: Outside work, with exposure to outside elements. Requires driving and walking during inclement weather. The employee frequently is required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, twist or crawl. Frequent exposure to pesticides and herbicides, and occasional exposure to loud noise and airborne particles.Late applications will not be accepted. - Performs assigned duties in the maintenance and control of parks, recreation trails and cemetery within the City. May apply herbicides, fungicides and pesticides safely and maintain precise records of chemicals used.
- Operates maintenance equipment, tractors, string trimmers, power rakes, sprayers, mowers and power tools. Assist with irrigation system repair. Maintain equipment including checking for proper fluid levels, tire pressure and report issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and direct inquiries to appropriate department.

Job Requirements
- Ability to calculate basic math.
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions.
- Ability to safely operate a variety of hand tools.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to comply with safety standards.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment.
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Previous experience in similar position preferred.
- Knowledge of plant and insect identification is desirable.
- Valid Colorado drivers license with acceptable driving record.
