What are the responsibilities and job description for the Moorhead Community Forestry - Americorps position at CITY OF MOORHEAD?
AmeriCorps has partnered with the City of Moorhead Forestry Division with a mission to preserve and protect Minnesota’s environment and strengthen communities, with a focus on preserving and increasing tree canopy. Service may include designing and managing nursery gravel beds, tree inventorying and planting, installing energy-saving materials, analyzing climate resilience efforts, organizing sustainability projects, sharing your experience with the community, and committing to your own growth through training and professional development.
Americorps is currently recruiting for summer 2025. This is an AmeriCorps member position with Summer Impact Corps, and your commitment will be up to 40 hours per week beginning in August and working with the City of Moorhead Forestry Department.

Schedule
We are currently hiring for the 2025-26 program year. Positions run August 2025-July 2026.
- 40 hours per week
- Daytime hours
- Monday - Friday
- Time off on holidays
Part-time positions are also available at 25 hours per week!
Pay & Benefits
Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $14.88 per hour served and additional perks!
