The Financial Resources Division is seeking a skilled analytical and meticulous individual to join their team as the next Senior Management Analyst!


This recruitment will establish an eligibility list which may be used to fill future vacancies.


YOUR POSITION
The Senior Management Analyst in the Financial Resources Division is responsible for performing complex administrative, financial, statistical, and management analyses to support City and departmental activities. This includes providing professional recommendations, assisting in policy formulation, and carrying out related duties. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator, proficient in multi-tasking, generating and maintaining complex financial documents, and creating detailed business analytics reports. They understand project accounting, grant management, cost allocation methodology, State revenue structures, the City's fund structure, and the City's operating and capital budget, and have the ability to implement California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) and Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) budget award requirements.

IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is an instant contributor with a strong ability to multi-task and is ready to work collaboratively with the team towards meeting the division's objectives. They communicate effectively and are able to generate and maintain complex financial documents for multiple capital project budgets. They understand project accounting, grant management, cost allocation methodology, State revenue structures, the City's fund structure, and have an overall understanding of the City's operating and capital budget. They possess a complete understanding of California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) and Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) budget award requirements and have the ability to implement these requirements in the City’s biennial capital budget. They are proficient in the creation and use of detailed business analytics reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses. Experience in a governmental agency is preferred.


ABOUT THE FINANCIAL RESOURCES DIVISION
This division’s primary responsibilities include creating and communicating information about the City's budget and —budget development process — to citizens and businesses. This division also manages CDBG grants, Affordable housing programs, Neighborhood stabilization programs, and acts as the Successor Agency for the former Redevelopment Agency.

Salary : $96,533 - $135,928
