Job Summary:
As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible for the manual and semi-skilled maintenance and service work on City wastewater facilities and collection lines. Your expertise in operating a variety of light and heavy machinery/equipment such as bulldozers, dump trucks, vac trucks and water trucks will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects.
Duties:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including bulldozers, dump trucks, water trucks, mowers, and other machinery as required
-Safely operate hand and power tools
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Transport materials and equipment to and from job sites
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment
- Ability to obtain a Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with a tanker endorsement
- Ability to obtain an Idaho Class I Wastewater Operator or Collection System license
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
