Depending on the department, the Facility Attendant Lead is responsible for assisting, in a leadership role, with the operation of the assigned park or facility, such as a gymnasium, athletic field, wellness area, reception area, concession stand, recreation venue, airport terminal, and other airport facilities. Depending on the department, the Facility Attendant Lead is responsible for assisting, in a leadership role, with the operation of the assigned park or facility, such as a gymnasium, athletic field, wellness area, reception area, concession stand, recreation venue, airport terminal, and other airport facilities. Essential Functions:
- Must be able to communicate with others in spoken and written English to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the business.
- Greets customers/users as they enter the park or facility and assist them with their needs. Provide accurate information regarding activities and department information.
- Oversees and monitors the assigned facility to ensure a positive experience.
- Observes and enforce the rules and regulations of their assigned area for the safety and welfare of the staff and participants. Listens and responds to participant complaints.
- Oversees facility maintenance and cleanliness. Keeps the assigned area clean, neat, and orderly.
- Performs general repair and maintenance on the facility or coordinates with contractors.
- Operates a computer with facility management software; processes daily admission, balances cash drawer; prepares bank deposits, collects funds, issues receipts, and records transactions.
- Receives and records reservations; maintains and monitors schedules and calendars.
- Maintains accurate records as assigned, which may include inventory, registrations, incident reports, and similar.
- Opens and closes the facility as needed; ensures that the building is secure and that all participants have left before closing the facility.
- Manages staff; provides guidance and instruction.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with some weekend, evening, and holiday work required.
- Performs other work as assigned.
- Assigned areas will include specific training and expectations within the scope of the job description. Examples include Facility Attendant Lead-Youth Basketball, Facility Attendant Lead – Concessionaire, Facility Attendant Lead-Sports*Com Gym.
- Performs light work that involves walking or standing most of the time and exerting up to 20 pounds (50 pounds for the Airport department) of force regularly and regularly.
- Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age. High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. Requires three months experience as a facility supervisor/attendant, customer service representative, or closely related experience.
- Must possess current (not expired) CPR/AED certifications or the ability to acquire same within three (3) months from the date of hire.
