What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Locator/ Records Technician position at City of Nacogdoches?
The City of Nacogdoches is seeking a Utility Locator/Records Technician. This position Helps maintain city water/wastewater line location maps in the office and/or in the field; locates city-owned water and wastewater mains to include valves, manholes and water and wastewater taps upon availability of information.
Working knowledge of traditional drafting practices and modern office procedures and software; GIS and GPS capabilities; and practical use of electronic equipment. Ability to operate assigned equipment with skill and safety; develop and maintain relationships with peers across departments; multi-task, organize and prioritize a changing work schedule to meet needs of department; follow oral and written instructions; effectively communicate both orally and in written form. Subject to on-call and call-back work.
High school diploma/GED with a minimum of one year of experience in utility maintenance and/or construction; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must possess a valid driver license.
