Performs semiskilled work locating and reading utility meters on an assigned route; does related work as required. Work is performed under the regular supervision of the Field Services and Metering Supervisor.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Locating and reading meters; connecting and disconnecting utility service; completing service orders.(The following tasks are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work performed. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.)Locates and reads utility meters on assigned routes.Reports meters not accessible for reading.Connects/disconnects meters.Completes service orders and inputs data in CIS; rereads, start/stop service, etc.Follows all policies and procedures.Maintains on-call status during hurricanes, ice storms, and other emergencies as required.Performs related tasks as required.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Education and ExperienceAny combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and some experience in data entry work, customer service, and computers.
