The City has a traditional downtown with interesting businesses, a thriving Community Development Authority and a Main Street Program. The City operates under the Council-Manager form of government and the successful candidate will work closely with the City Manager to assist the City’s existing businesses with retention and growth, recruitment of new businesses, and neighborhood reinvestment strategies.
A Bachelor’s Degree is required from an accredited college or university with major course work in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Real Estate, Economic Development or a closely related field. A Master’s Degree is preferred, but not required. Eight (8) years of experience with business, planning, real estate, government economic development or considerable experience in commercial or industrial real estate and equivalent combination of education and training is required. The anticipated hiring range for the position is $105,900 to $129,350 based upon qualifications and experience. There is also a generous executive employee benefit program associated with this position.
